Work’s really pretty huge right now. I am very happy that I get to join events and stuff, but I can’t deny the fact that it has taken most of my time off to blogging.

But anyway, even though I only have so little time to write about what’s happening lately, it makes me more hyped, since I know I have a lot of kwentos to share. :)

Okay, since I left off about the Brunch w/ Bb. Pilipinas, let me fill you in about watching it.

April 15, 2012 Sunday

It was Open House of Manhattan Garden City (If you happen to go to Gateway Mall and go by the 3rd floor,our showroom is just located beside Watson’s. It would be hard not to miss since we have lots of Real Estate Consultants stationed around the area.)

I was assigned to stay at Gateway Showroom.

Sheryl, my receptionist friend told me that there might be available tickets, so we texted Sir Bheng, just to make sure. I tried not to keep my hopes up, besides I was also having second thoughts, because I wanted to go home early and it was a Sunday for crying out loud.

But to my big surprise, Sir Bheng replied that I can actually join them and watch! I got so excited that I never minded if I have to go home very late that day, even though that there was work the next day!

After all, watching the most prestigious beauty pageant in the country only happens once a year! :D

On New Tides

Hi there!

So yes, I have been out for more than a month, and guess it’s because of the recent changes that happened to and around me.

I resigned from my job, to focus more on our family business;but things, like how they really do, didn’t turn out as planned.

I was invited and got accepted in a new one. I’ll be filling more deets about this one soon, although I can really say that I am happy.

So last Tuesday, as how normal the day was for everyone, made a different path for me. A bus took me to Nasugbu Batangas, where I got to frolic in the water both pool and the beach, with my new friends slash colleagues.

It was real fun! It was our first time there, so all the three of us, I, Karlo and Anje maximized our stay, aside from swimming by taking lots of photos.

Here’s a photo with me and the lovely girls. It was freezing, so you know why we are so giddy being sandwiched with whoever are beside us. ;P

When we got so bored by the pool, and with the whistles of the guards who are asking some girls to take their cover-ups off, including Mae and Ate Grace (check girls at the back) we decided to just hang out by the beach. Took photos first while waiting for Ate Jean.

Posting ala-beach hotties! :P

We buried Ms. Arianne because she’s craving for some skin exfoliation! :D

After hours of swimming, sun bathing and taking lots of photos, it was already time to go. Check how many buses are there!

Well, here’s the last shot with the Training and Resource Development Team! We surely look different without those blazers and corporate whatnot!

Surely, this is totally a late post, but whatever! This is actually the only free time I get to blog again! So forgive me! :D

Even Tattoos Are Not Permanent

Celebrities have been going about putting on tattoos about their loved ones in the different areas of the body as a way to put emphasis of how much they love or treasure that person or their relationship. But the question is, should there come a time that, that particular person or relationship has to be cut or has to end, what happens now to that little memorabilia etched at your very skin? Here are some samples of what they call “tattoos gone wrong”.

Personally, I do not like tattoos, they are sort of created in the spur of the moment, and somehow only represent that part of you on a particular time or period. You may learn to outgrow it sooner or later, but the essence of it being permanent, as that what is really intended to be scares me the most.

Changes are inevitable. It is nature, and something permanent cannot be changed, although it can be modified one way or the other. As for this, laser treatment, or whatever you call it. But the thing is that area of skin will never be the same. You can buy essay and have it revised but tattoos are different. They may leave a scar which will forever remind you that for once, for a moment in your life something grand was there. Something made you happy because of that inked image whatsoever.

Of course, these are just my thoughts. I respect whatever thoughts you may have on this, on tattoos, too.

Janylin: Fairy Godmother of Shoes

Yesterday, I was out and was roaming the mall. I was waiting for someone to finish a meeting, so I decided to window shop for, well, need I say what? Shoes of course! :D

A little background:

I have always wanted (or lusted) to get myself these two pairs. The red Jeffrey Campbell El Carmen Chunky Heels and the Black and White Color Block Wedges.

I sell them at Pomppet (the inspired ones only), but stocks are all out, so I cannot lavish on having my feet be graced by these to-die-for babies.

But I got surprised when I saw an identical twin of the red heels at Janylin Shoes. I couldn’t believe my eyes! They were sold there at P1,495.00, not bad for the design I have dreamt since like, forever!

The black/white wedges had a similar pair; although they differ on the length of the material covering the toes. Nevertheless, they still look like family, which is very very good! The pair costs P2,495.00

I am thinking of getting myself the red one first though as it’s less expensive than the other. I am quite happy about my little visit in Janylin. :)

I cannot believe that I can still get the pair/s I’ve so long fancied! Janylin is like the shoe fairy godmother I never thought existed! :’)

The day I almost died.

So yesterday was Chinese New Year. :) We all wore red, and together with my family, some relatives and friends, we all went to Teresa, Rizal to check out a farm.

There was no hint under that bright bright day that something tragic would happen. After seeing the land and some uncomfortable lurches of our stomachs, we started to head home around 1:00 pm.

When we were down on a road in Antipolo, an unexpected turnout of events occurred.

I was feeling really sick already. I was having a mild fever due to the common cold I acquired the night before. I was curling up to a ball in the backseat just behind the driver’s, where my dad was at the moment.

My head was resting on the window, when the guy behind me shouted. I opened my eyes and there it was. The back part of a truck was whirling towards our van! I was helpless. For a split second, I thought the truck was going to pierce the van door and shove its dirty, probably even rusty bodice, towards my frail, and utterly hyperthermic trunk. :(

Good thing, the collision wasn’t that strong, although it did leave a terrible dent on our van. :(

This is how we got hit by that driver-less truck. It was being pushed by some men on an downward-inclined rode. :(

So there. This incident really made me realize that life is short. Too short. I could have been in a hospital bed right now, but thank God, I wasn’t. No one was harmed, and we are just so fortunate that all of us are still alive. :’)

Treasure every moment, it can be or may be the last.

I went all lace last Tuesday and worked on a vintage feel. :)

I seriously need to learn how to put on make-up so I won’t look bland in photos. :(

This Schmug lace top is actually a dress. :) Its hem flows just perfectly above my knees, but I think that it would also look good when paired with this vintage red lace midi skirt. ;)

I just love the back of this lace top. :) The subtle sexiness of the cut gives a different twist to an utterly sweet and conservative outfit! :D

Weekend Wonders

Last Sunday, family went out and killed some time in Greenhills before going to Church. :)

It felt weird and surprising to have Dad decide to go somewhere far. We’ve always settled to nearby malls, as not to worry about heavy traffic and extreme difficulty of finding a suitable parking space.

Well, I guess that day was an exception! :D

He even gave little sister and I some moolah to burn! Yay! :D

Here are the stuff I bought! :D

I am falling in love with skirts and skorts now. I just adore how it gives the illusion of making my legs longer. :D Plus points for not emphasizing that I’m short! Haha :D

I just had lunch. And feeding on McDonald’s crispy chicken fillet, cheeseburger, medium fries and a cola is making my belt all controlling! Hmpf! :O

Well, what I just said was totally irrelevant to this post, but whatever. I can’t wait to wear these! :D

Books for All Seasons

Seriously. I really have to find time reading. :(

Juggling office work, an online business and a blog is no joke. So I take one activity at a time.

But just like they say, “If there’s a will, there’s a way!”.

So I am making way for these bulk of sheets to register in my neurons.

Such books are bound, to bound me for a reason! :P

The Hunger Games Trilogy - To let me be aware of what is happening in the literary world post-Harry Potter. It is time to move on, and read new stories. :)

And to understand the new movie coming up! :P

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - To finally complete my collection! :’) Harry Potter will be my favorite books for all time!

I’ve read this book already of course, but there’s just something about completing the set that will truly make one a Potterhead. :)

The Secret - To realize the importance of positivity, power of attraction, and to help me get rich! :P

Pulling out all-nighters again! :) Cheers to the kind of books I would sacrifice sleep for! :)

I have always loved shoes. I enjoy shopping for them instead of dresses. And I believe that if you have that number of clothes, why should your shoes be any different?

So now on to my recent shoe purchases. :)

Below are the actual photos of the shoes I sell for Pomppet, except that I got them for myself, and two of which are Christmas gifts that I gave to my Mom and sister. :)

Apparently, two pairs didn’t fit me well. So I had to sell them. :)

This Olindo Trevisano blue and yellow Chunky Pumps. :) And..

Sesto Colombo Black Peep Toe Wedges. :)

These two, and the Leopard Low Pumps in the first picture are the only ones that fitted me. Still hooray for me! :D

This pair is for my Mom. :) Whilst the yellow pumps above are for my sister. :D

Now let me tell you the little story of every pair from here, down. :)

I bought this late November of last year. I really didn’t plan on buying one that day, but these wedges are just so comfortable and light, it is bound to keep your feet very happy every working day. So who am I to resist? :)

I was eyeing a pair of Mario ‘d Boro Yellow Cross Flatforms that night, when my face turned sideways and saw this on the same rack. Apart that its color is richer than yellow, this Mustard baby has the most adorable wedge heel prints ever!

It took me 3 seconds to decide that this one’s for keeps!

Aside that it’s from Celine and it’s Leather, the feel of slipping your feet in this Roman beauty is just the actual killer. It’s so comfortable, and it made my skin color pop out more! It’s so ideal, it deserves to be taken home!

Haha and so I did! :D

The real riddle here is how did my size 7 feet, fitted Centropelle’s size 5 Red lace peep toe d’Orsays! I bought this the morning of the pageant last December 10, and I was really rattled on how to buy a rocking pair of shoes, with the little time and money I got.

I wanted to buy a not-so-expensive pair, since I may just wear them for one night, or I can just buy something that would be versatile enough that I can wear on other events (but still, the events are likely to be formal).

And so I got this design. It was the last in stock, there was no size 6, and their size 7 were already too big for me. So I stuck with this one. :)

There you have it! :D

I enjoyed writing this bit. I just wish I had more shoes, so I can paint their stories here too! :D

So, I’m posting this outfit I wore I-don’t-know-when to work, probably some weeks ago, but definitely on January. :D

I was feeling dressy that day, so I borrowed this faithful printed ensemble from Mom. :)

I really feel lucky whenever I wear this. I don’t know why. I’ve worn this in an interview in TV5 last August 2010, and that went wonderful.
