So last Saturday, our company had its Christmas Party. It was real fun and truly a night to remember, but I want to reserve the details on to a next post. Meanwhile, here are some things that caught my fancy after that wondrous evening.

Yesterday, Sunday, I actually had the nerve to sustain my reading appetite. Heaven knows how long I last read a book. I really need to pour some literature in my system. So the book of choice.. Hmm..

Here is actually the box, my sister gave me last year as a gift for Christmas. And since it’s the merry season again, I thought that it would be a shame as a big sister to not actually open the pages of what she thought I’d love. Believe me, I have been haunting time to read these, but I probably wasn’t serious enough, but this time, I needed to be one.

See the crisp and untouched facade of “Everyone Worth Knowing” and “Chasing Harry Winston” ? I can’t believe they have been in that box for almost twelve months!

I think, I have read a page or two of “The Devil Wears Prada” though, that explains the elevated cover. :D

I love how the spawny-red color of the heels matched the cherry pops of my bed cover. It’s sooo deadly fabulous! Haha >:D

Finally! I got the perfect shot of the wind-blown pages! Yay! :D

Now, on to my desk. I got to the office at 10:04 AM, and I literally am 6 minutes away from my off, but I just have to finish blogging about more books. :D

Anyway, I brought the book today with me, as I have started reading it yesterday. I am actually hoping that during my free time, either here in my desk or at the shuttle, or anywhere I might get stranded, I’d still be a happy bee and not feel alone. Reading makes me feel accompanied, no matter how alone I am. Do you agree fellow bookworms? :)

Well, you might be wondering about those two things residing beside the book.

The pink one is a card reader I asked Cy to buy for me, as she goes home really early, and can pass by Forum Robinsons. I always loose my card readers, so a 50-peso sacrifice would always just do the trick! ;)

Shyne, my officemate just got home from Hong Kong yesterday, and she was such a sweetie to bring us Hong Kong pens! One co-worker even said, that now we finally have our own pens, (courtesy of Shyne) , signing the Pay Slip Receipt Form wouldn’t be a bother! Good one! Yay! :D

Here’s a close-up of that pretty pen! Thanks Shyne! :D

Well, another surprise came in today. As this was the last Kris Kringle our department will have, prior to the major exchange gift happening on the 22nd, here is what I got, or rather, ARE what I got!

Four books from Ayessa!

The gift theme was “Something Personal”, which means that we don’t have to shell out a single centavo, and just give something from our own personal belongings. It could be anything! And it would be really nice, if the giver’s touch will be there.

I gave a mirror, a pair of earrings and bracelet. I was hoping that a girl would get my gift, but unfortunately, they weren’t. I particularly offered my apologies to the male officemate who got my present. :(

Back to the books I received. Ayessa is a wide reader, and her giving me these books was such a blessing! It was totally personal, and I couldn’t ask for any other Kris Kringle ender! This is the best I had! Thank you sooo much Ayessa!

She was such a sweetie, and even tweeted me after I opened my present!

This is really a sign! A culmination! I have to get back on my reading habits! Four books lined up - oh my! I have to finish “The Devil Wears Prada” asap!
