There are many firsts in this post. So I would like to borrow the cephalocaudal standard, as what I used to practice during nursing assessments. :)
Let us start with the obvious, I just had my hair dyed. Last Sunday, my mom, little sister, and I went to the salon to have our tresses revamped. We do not exactly got the same prepped hair color, as I have another thing in mind.
I want my hair to shade brown, but I want it to be noticeable, so I just told the hair stylist to mix something in between of mahogany brown and mahogany red.
Mahogany red is too much for me, yet mahogany brown is kind of too tamed, so I opted something in the middle.
And so I got this! Yay! :)

Now, on to the outfit post.
You see this is another first, and a very brave move on my part by the way.
Since I always try to look safe, I stay in my comfort zone by wearing dresses most of the time. They are just so put-together, so effortless that you only need to pair them with the right accessories and shoes. But today, I donned my armour, and tried to spice up my look by being different.
As you may have noticed, I seldom mix and match, so most of the outfit posts I do here are either one piece, or just a fusion of basics, a.k.a. one plain + one printed.

Today, I tried two things, print on print and color blocking. My top is actually a dress! I got this idea from Camille Co. I learned that dresses so beautiful, are being sinned to if their potentials are not maximized. So this is my way of not committing such crime. :D
The dress actually falls just inches above my knees, so this piece alone, is decent enough to be worn at my workplace; which I already had by the way, but never got the chance to post in here. Sorry! :(
So to spice things up a little, I paired it with this red violet midi skirt I got from, wherelse but Schmug! I have always wanted to wear this, but I just haven’t found the right top - only to know that the word “dress” was the only key! Haha :D

The top has polka dots, while the skirt, hmmm.. I am torn between thoughts on whether they are leaves or feathers. Anyway whatever the prints are, I love them!
On notes of color blocking, I love the hues of each garment separately, like the flavors of cheese and blueberry. But when combined together, you’ll realize that there is actually something more delicious than taste-fulls of each. You get what I mean? (Giggles!)
Anyway, this is my first shot on this technique. And I’m thinking that I’ll have more of these in my looks in the coming days. :)
The colors are so alive! :D

I matched the happy and bright ensemble with my happy and bright mustard Schmug Laker Bag. :D

So this is what I’ll be wearing in our presentation later, and on my movie date with my good friend Camille Lim. We’ll be watching Breaking Dawn, and we’re hoping it’s good though. Our boyfriends bailed, so we’ll be each other’s movie buddy today. Haha :D
Have a great Tuesday! :D
